Ok so just wandering how hard and time consuming would it be to convert my 85 to a 6speed? Would it be expenseive or not too bad? Just trying to figure out what i wanna do when i rebuild my engine because i have wanted my car to be a standard since i bought it and figured it would be best to do it when the engine is out. Thanks ahead of time for any reponses.

Yea trust me when i sold my other car i looked for about 4 months before i bought the one i have and never saw one standard within a 250 mile radius. I got tired of my dad taking me to school while i looked for another car so i just bought this on which i love except for it being an auto.
ZF is your least costly option, but I would wait until you can get a TKO and use less costly clutch & Flywheel kits, plusthe TKO is a quite gear box and as strong or stronger.
I bought the Keisler TKO after taking the new ZF I bought out .
I converted my '94 about a year ago. I put so much effort, time, and money into the car that buying a standard would not have been worth it for me. Plus I know the history of this car. It's not that hard, the hardest part is probably sourcing the parts. I got the differential and all the miscellaneous parts from Vette2Vette (great people btw). The transmission I bought new from Exotic Muscle, think it was around $1500. The only modifications you have to make are cutting a hole in the transmission tunnel a little bigger and another hole in the firewall for the clutch. If you don't want to fiberglass the hole in the transmission you can get a tunnel from a standard and just rivet it in there (I got that from Vette2Vette also. Only other thing I can think of is to be careful when ordering the pedals as earlier C4s are different than later models and they won't interchange.
Yea i am thinking about going to a junk yard and finding an wrecked corvette with a zf6 and just pulling it out and using that it will be much cheaper that way.
