Default Just recieved my A/C delete for LTX from DRM !

And what a piece of art this thing is !! Glad I got it unfinished (Thanks Randy!) since I plan on making it black to match the rest of the compartment. Only thing is in billet aluminum it looks so so shiny I don't even feel like painting it !!

I'll take some nice pics soon as I get home. I still ship stuff to my parents so the wife doesn't find out

I think TPIS deserves a shout out for an excellent looking product that looks like a serious quality piece. Special thanks to DRM as well for the fast responses and shipping to me in Canada !

I'm excited to remove the entire a/c system and see what the weight savings will be! After watching my a/c compressor on fire after the first blast in 4th gear to 8000 rpm I wasn't looking forward to installing a new compressor !!

Throw up some pix when it's installed!

Is your '93 A/C bracket different then the '88 one I had?

I won't have any installed pics yet. That will most likely happen near the end of the year when the motor is done. Waiting 7 months for a cam really sucks. Awesome to hear that the fit is perfect!

VT- do you have any pics of yours? I'm really curious to know what it looks like mounted.

I dropped just under 25 lbs using the A/C delete bracket from More Performance...which weighed about 3 lbs itself. That was compressor, condensor, evaporator, and all lines...I didn't dig into the firewall.

8000 rpm?!? Hope you have an underdrive pulley to help keep you from killing your accessories!

wow 25 lbs !! I plan on removing everything in the compartment as well. I did have an underdrive pulley made and I didnt have any problems with any other accessories. the ps pump was modified by turn-one and the alternator has a slightly larger than stock pulley as well. i probably shouldnt have been spinning it that high I put too much trust in my last builder. That story is for an upcoming post

Amazing ! thanks for the pics !! You were right it looks awesome !! I was worried what the compartment would look like without the big compressor there I thought the big accessory bracket would stick out like a sore thumb. Definitely not the case !! How is the beast running ??

That's a lot different then my year! Can the alternator just be placed where the delete pulley is? That looks like the alternator prevents the V/C from being removed? That would make me grumpy. I wonder if LT1s can convert to the earlier bracket and not use a delete pulley plus get more alternator room?

Do you know if it matters? Some pumps are made in a way that they pump the same either direction.
