Thanks everyone for the help with getting new wheels. I go the ones off e-bay. Got a good price. $560 new in box sealed, with center caps. Even though the center caps have a sticker that looks like a corvette logo it is not. But the truth is most people can't tell at 60MPH + HAHA. It turns out they are 56MM offset. Which made me happy. They look good. Hope they stay that way.
This is the best price I've seen for these wheels. They're on ebay all the time. Have been concerned that you 'get what you pay for'. Please let us know how they are quality-wise (finish, leaks, balance). They're a great deal if the quality is there. Thanks. How about some pics?
I'll work on some pics. Not sure how to post them once I get them, but I'll figure it out. I can not tell a difference from the AFS wheels I have seen. They are the silver ones. Very shiny, and have had a large number of people say they like them thus far. I just had them put on Sat. Everyone can tell they are new. They're that shiny. I guess time will tell how long they stay that way. Balance is great. The car rides som much smoother now. But I did have some pretty bagged up stock rims. So anything would have produced a nice ride. The guy used sticky things to balance. Works well no vib. The guy I got them from was great. He e-mailed back within several hours of all my e-mails, and even e-mailed with a link the to the tracking # homepage. I got the tracking numbers about 1 hour after he sent them out. The best thing is weight. They do not appear to be any heavier than the stock wheels. If they are it's not enough to tell by picking them up. The UPS thing said the new wheels with box were 18LBS. OK I'll get the pics for ya.
JD 90. Yeah the problems seem to be gone. Knock on wood. HAHA Thanks for asking. I'm just dealing with tuning, and still working on getting my higher stall converter in. Just havn't felt like doing it. I still have the stock one in it. It's a dog. That and some gears will wake it up I think. I still have the 2.59. It does not like them.
I also purchased these same wheels off of Ebay. They haven't arrived yet but will post reply as to quality etc. You can call them direct at anytime & get them for $580.00 + $80 shipping (fixed).

I'll try for pics Wed or late Tues. I work all day and Go to school at night,:cry so I'm not left with lots of time. Plus it gets dark here at 6pm, and I don't get off work until 6pm. My parents have agerage I will try to get it over there and snap a few. As far as finish it does not bother me much if it does not hold up. I have a powered coat machine.
IVE HAD A SET OF WHEELS FOR ABOUT A MONTH FROM THIS DISTRIBUTER AND THEY SEEM EXCELLENT SO FAR AS WELL. HIS PRICES CANT BE TOUCHED AT LEAST THAT IVE FOUND.I NEVER DID ASK WHO MFG. THEM THOUGH. THEY SURE ADD TO THE LOOK OF MY 87 (THEY ARE AVAIL. FROM HIM IN BOTH OFFSETS)
I asked them about the manufacturer - "Detroit Wheels" is what i remember.
For what it's worth they have a very good record on ebay - not perfect but one of the very best i've seen. That is one way to check someone out.
THANKS FOR THE INFO. IM AFRAID ITS GOING TO BE A WHILE BEFORE I REALLY TEST THESE WHEELS TOO MUCH. AT THIS MOMENT WERE GETTING SOCKED WITH A WINTER STORM. BEST OF LUCK WITH THEM TO YOU ALSO.I SUPPOSE WE WILL REALLY FIND OUT HOW GOOD THE FINISH IS AFTER A YEAR OR SO.
