Need a new targa top, comments/suggestions?
Hey all,
I need to replace (have heard you can't really repair) my 1991 coupe tinted targa top, the glass has separated from the frame.
I'm looking for suggestions/recommendations, on new vs used, replacing tinted with painted, etc. also on the following manufacturers;
Astro
Melrose
Coastal Corvette (I'm leaning towards that one)
etc.

From everything I've ever read here, Melrose is the place to go.
I got lucky and found an original GM top (with protective wrapping still in place), from a forum member.
You might keep an eye out in the parts for sale section.
Keep in mind, these tops don't ship very well. I read about lots of horror stories of cracked corners during shipping.
So, make sure they package it correctly and insure it.
