1984 Electronic antenna issues
Here is how it started. I let my son install new carpeting in my 1984 Corvette. After he successfully performed this task, when I turn the stereo on the antenna does not come up. The radio lights up, but the antenna stays nesteled in the quarter panel. So, I took the antenna out of the quarter panel and tested it, grounding it and putting its hot to the battery. The antenna went up just fine. So, with the antenna still up, I remounted it and when I plugged in the wires, the antenna went back down. Before I start pulling the carpet out and looking for a disconnected wire I wanted to inquire with you folks for some direction. See, I think there is a particular area to find where this issue may be. I would rather get some directions regarding this instead of guessing. Any suggestions? Any help will be greatly appreciate.
