Default 4 spd conversion
I am looking at building a track day C-4. I plan on buying a older C-4 and hanging an off the shelf GM 4 spd in it. Has anyone done this in an auto/ car. Will it bolt into the hangers etc.? Are the pedals easily installed? Or should I find an old 4-3 car. Either way I don't want to use that tranny. I am currently using my 93 w/6 spd and hate tearing it up.

I would look for a '85 and up manual car. Starting in '85 all manual cars came with the D44 which is stronger. I hear the cost to convert an auto car to stick is around $3000.

I ASSUME i can eliminate the electronic 3 spd portionn of the tranny?
