Default crossfire idles 1700 ??

My crossfire all of a sudden started to idle around 1700 cold and goes down to around 1200 warm. Tps seems to be good .49volts closed and 4.97 wot. Cant hear any vacuum leaks. No performance issues at all while driving. Engine runs smooth. No check engine light. Any thoughts on what to check??

I had the same problem. I found vacuum leaks. Check all hoses. Possible intake leak.

Oh, I also found I was missing a small one way valve. It is tward the rear of the intake on the drivers side. It has 3 ports for hoses.

The TPS voltage should be .525 volts - .52 or .53 works. Check the IAC function. Short pins A&B in the ALDL connector and turn on the ignition (dont start the motor). With the ignition on and A&B shorted forces diagnostic mode and the IACs should cycle - move in and out. Just look down the IAC passage with a flashlight and you should see the pintle moving in and out. If they do the problem is somewhere else, if they don't cycle there is something wrong with the IACs circuit. Check the fuse first and trouble shoot from there.

Checked out Iac's. All working good. All hoses look good. No signs of any vacuum leaks. Intake leaking oil at ends. Took apart and gona reseal intake tomarrow. Maybe upper intake was leaking vacuum somehow. Any other thoughts?? Thanks

Shafts worn out on Throttle Bodys check by moving shafts up and down should be very little play, this will really mess up the idle.

Also check the vacuum line to the brake booster for leaks.

don't forget to check the little vacuum line caps, they do go bad also.
