I'm going to switch the upper intake on my 85 L98 and was wondering how long this should take? Scale of 1-10 how hard should this be? This will be my first fuel injection job.

Are you removing just the plenum? If so its a piece of cake, there are 4 10mm bolts to remove the throttle body, and 8 torx bolts to remove it from the runners. You also have the distributor cover plate which has 3 screws, the brake booster line at the rear by the distributor, some vacuum lines and a sensor underneath. Shouldnt take more than 15-20 minutes to do.
As long as you're not removing the lower intake and fuel injectors, it's easy. You just have to make sure you don't strip the torx head screws. Those bastards are PITA when they are tight. When you put the torx bit into the torx screw head, make sure it is all the way in before you start twisting. Don't rush it and take your time and never force them loose.
