It's bad guys....real bad! I tore apart my dashboard ( in a '91) the other night to try to fix the SYS light that kept flashing. Couldn't fix it so I put it back together. Now, when I turn on the lights the dashboard lights don't come on. It is almost completly dark in my car at night when I drive. I can still read the MPH in the LED but the dimmer control for the lights doesn't work at all. I just move it up and down but nothing happens at all. I did notice the other night when I auto-started it ( I have an alarm with the auto-start on it..a viper) the dashboard lights came on until I stepped on the brake. The brake is the auto kill for the alarm,l but if I start it normally the lights won't even blink. Now I noticed (or accually someone pointed it out while I was driving) that I don't have any tail lights! I have brake lights but no tail lights...what the heck?

I think the most common reply to this question is going to be to "take it apart and reassemble it slowely" You might have crimped a ground or are shorting a line somewhere during the reassembly.....I did not reassemble my door right when I took it apart...when I rolled the window down then up...it pulled the wires out of the motor.....easy thing to over look....Good luck

It does sound like a blown tail lamp fuse you need to check the fuses first. Also what code were you getting in the CCM that made you remove the dash in the first place?
