Default coilover install assistance

Ok guys, I just started on my DRM coilover install and I could use a little assistance. I mounted the rears last night, and while they fit fine with the car up on jackstands as soon as it's on the ground they rub on the halfshafts. Called DRM and they gave the following instructions:

Rear:
Move upper shock mount forward 1/2", and reverse bolt on knuckle.
Front:
Move sway bar mount forward 1/2" to 5/8".

Doesn't sound too dificult, but my question is what's the easiest way to accomplish moving the upper shock mount. I know I'll have to open up the hole for the shock and drill new bolt holes, but what do I use to open up the shock hole. I was thinking maybe my air powered cutoff wheel and just make a square cut. Or is there something I could use to actually extend/bore out the hole 1/2" forward?

Any ideas or suggestions from someone that's done this before would be greatly appreciated.

I jusy finished installing my coil overs last week, and I have to say, what a PITA! I reccomend that you go out and get a CARBIDE bit and an air powered die grinder to accomplist the elongating of the holes for the shock mounts. Also, I spent 3 hours drilling the new holes for the mounting screws (go slow and keep the bit well oiled). If i can offer any other help, shoot me an Email: KLLRVET92@AOL.COM

I haven't done mine yet, but was planning on using a grinding wheel on either a hand drill or a die grinder; (bought two sets of Cambell Hauserfield at Lowes for $5 a piece). The hole only needs to be elongated forward 5/8" of an inch and I want to keep the same symetry of the original hole. The grinding technique should accomplish this safely. Also, to prevent future rusting, there is another 1 1/4" hole on the lower part of the frame in front of the rear wheel. It seems that a lot of filings will end-up settling at the low point inside the box frame in front of the rear wheel. I was planning on attaching some thin plastic tubing onto my shop-vac then vacumning the filings up. This followed by a light rinse of water and vacumning should get almost everything.
