87 wouldn't start warm
In the last 2 weeks my 87 vette has been idling high out of nowwhere and as time goes on more often. A few days ago after when i got home then went inside to grab something then it didn't start(cranked but wouldn't start), but it started the next morning.

I would start with fuel pressure see what it’s at running, then how fast it looses pressure after the motor is shut off. Test the injectors both hot & cold write down your readings. How many miles on car.

Engines need fuel, air, and spark to start and run. When it won't start, that is the time to do some diagnostics. Use your timing light to see if you have spark during cranking. If not, you may have a spark control module that fails when hot. Connect a fuel pressure gauge to the shrader valve on the end of the right fuel rail, it should be 35-42 psi and it should hold for a long time with the ignition off or you have leaky injectors or a defective check valve in the fuel pressure regulator. Connect a noid light (available at parts stores) to one of the injector plugs and see if you have pulses during cranking.
