Default Polishing Runners

I started to polish my runners to match my plenum. I've gotten one almost done, but it takes a very long time. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could speed this process up? I've been using my Dremel and hand sanding them so far. I bought a polishing kit with buffing wheels and tripoli and white rouge but as far as I can tell they don't do a dam thing.

When I did the runners on my '86 IROC it was sanding paper, ScotchBrite, polishing compound and Eagle's Never Dull. And yes, it took a while.

Don"t fret my friend, I was in that same slump I started with my air die grinder & sand paper rolls, then bought wet- dry sand paper 600-1200 grit, then to some steeel wool. The steel wool made my efforts look like it was beginning to pay of. I then went to 000 extra fine steel wool and they really had that chrome look, then it was to the buffing wheel with white rouge for the final touch, although the 000 steel wool had the same effect I think. When I was done the whole intake set-up sat on my kitchen table that night! sick, ya maybe. Just don"t give up, when you finish those you"ll be looking for more to do!
