The LT4 cam is a roller lifter cam. I think you have to mod your block inorder to get a roller cam to work. Just look for a flat tappet cam with around the same specs as the LT4 cam. I am assuming that you are refering to the 85 you have listed in your profile.
There's a retro-fit kit specifically designed to allow you to run a roller cam in a NON roller block, too. The roller cam can be installed without pulling the engine.
You'd need a roller cam, retro-fit roller lifters, different length pushrods (shorter), a thrust button to control forward movement of the cam and a 3-piece Torrington bearing to control rearward movement.
Once you have the timing chain cover off, you probably find that you'll need a new timing chain set. You'd probably need a new distributor gear too.
You're looking at close to a grand when all is said and done. Pricey proposition.
