Default holley stealth ram help?

What all is needed to make the holley stealth ram work with engine. The Intake stealthram intake manifold and plenum are not to expensive. What else would be needed to make it work though? Could use parts from original engine so dont have to buy the complete kit, which is like $3000 and I definately aint paying that.

You only need the intake and fuel rail with AFPR $550 ;
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...rt=HLY-534-186
Small cap dizzy/ coil and misc items , fittings , fuel line etc.

BUT ; it will not fit under a C4 hood without mods to the Plenum or a hoodscoop.
The $3K price tag is for the setup with aftermarket ECM which you don't ned

oh yeah, you can buy a modified stealth ram that will fit under the hood, i had the link, it was more expensive though, with fuel rail kit and manifold it is $1100, i believe, which aint too too bad. Also the miniram intake with fuel rails from tpis is around $1200. Which one is better? Also would have to have modified chip for the miniram?

For what ?
What do you want to achieve? DD , street / strip , drag car
HSR is more "all round " intake.Better up top than TPI while still keepng good bottom end

MR is more "top end" intake; requires cam / gears / stall possibly to optimise
Both should have the ECM reprogrammed to maximise performance

A good street car that can still run pretty good, 350 hp or so. I would like to save money also as much as possible.

but they're screwing us over. Only $300 for the intake itself but if you want the one that bolts right in you have to pay $1100? Thats

Agreed, 1100 is kinda steep. But depending on your setup, and going by the hotrod(?) magazine link comparing intakes that has surfaced here, if it gives you 50 hp that's only around $22 per HP. Not that I always go the HP/$ route, but I'd pay that. Might be closer to $25/HP with a chip tune though...

Isn't $350.00 of that $1100.00 for the fuel rails and adapters? So, labor costs $450.00.

well paying $1100 for the one that bolts right in and fits under the hood then having to pay $1500 for a high rise hood along with the cost of the stealthram.

I like the easy way, looks cheaper to do. I do have another question, why wont the stock fuel rails work, too wide?
