Transmission Sensor Leaking
Hi all, I hav an 87 4+3. There is a yellow sensor on the drivers side of the overdrive unit that is leaking. It has a single wire coming off of it. The shop says they have to remove the pan and remove it from the inside. I am not a tranny guy, but that dosent sound right to me. Any thoughts on this one? I have never seen a sensor that can't be removed from the outside.

They need to remove the pan & valve body according to the FSM. It bolts to the valve body & they have to compress the relief valve springs
