Default LTX shootout

I have not seen any threads and wanted to let you guys know about the 2009 LTX shootout.

http://www.ltxshootout.com/2009/

There are some forums there also and the rules for each class are listed there. It should be a good turn out.

It is coming up soon and still time to register.

Last years shootout was in GM Highe Tech Performance magazine and they will be there this year as well.

It would be a good time to meet some people from the various LT1 boards (this site, LS1tech.com, LS1/LT1.com, CamaroZ28.com, etc).

Lloyd: nice to hear from you. It's been a while since you posted.

BTW, the cam you had cut for my 96 CE/LT4 396 stroker was absolutely right call (230/236 @.050; .55x, .55x lift; 109 LSA). It'll keep a lopey/aggressive but steady idle @850, cruise nicely @1500 and, of course, kick ***, especially above 3k.

Anybody going? My Vette isn't ready, but I might drive up in my Caddy and watch.

There might not be a "next year" if people don't start attending...it's gonna be pretty f'n sad if no C4s show I'd enter some (whatever!) class just to have fun and show some support if my car wasn't apart.

How was turn out last year then? Vettes are never present at these types of events, its always fbodies, for example the LSX shootout was almost all fbodies I think.

There is already a Vette shootout with C4, C5, etc classes - was just a few weeks ago but got rained out.

Also the C4/ZR1 event could be considered to be somewhat of a shootout though it's all ZR1's pretty much (that will change next year when I'm there )

I wanted to go to the Bowling Green C4 thing, but I won't drive it in the rain and committing (paying) for something that far in advance w/o knowing what the weather will bring is not something I want to do......
I really wanted to go, though......

I'll run those C5's too...
