Where to get a cheap replacement cam?
Looks like autozone.com wants 375.00 for an oem replacement hydraulic roller cam. I would just get a zz9 if i were to spend that much. Does anyone know where I can get a new replacement cam for cheap? I am planning on new lifters/pushrods/cam and timing chain set, but I really don't want to spend 500.00+. this is supposed to be a cheap rebuild that will just last a couple of years while I build up my 400 engine. The more money I need to put into this 350 engine just to get my car on the road, the longer it's going to take to get it on the road since I simply don't have 500 bucks and it would take me a couple of months to get that money together, plus thats money I could be using torward the 400.
Also, does anyone know the stock cam specs for the 1990 l98 engine?

Did something happen to your stock cam, lifters and push Rods? If they have not been hurt and they are Roller then give them a good inspection and re-install them. Other wise get a used cam from someone that has changed theirs out.

Stock cam specs are on Vaders site. The ZZ4 can be found for $150 new. It is a little better than the stock cam. The 1990 had one of the wimpier stock cams in the L98.
