Default Does fuel injector o ring size matter

I took my fuel injectors back out today.
I did not see any reason why they should be leaking.
They were in good and none were torn.
I did notice that they turn very freely on the injector.
Could the ID be wrong?
I have Bosch III injectors from a mustang.
I bought the o rings from GM stealer.

I've been using the ones gm sells that are blue. They are a tick bigger than the older black ones. While both will seal the slightly bigger ones also make it tighter on the inj. I have seen Jon (fic) stating he has/sells oversized ones. I don't know about the length of the inj. you have, they may not be going deep enough into the intake or rail.

for our bosch 3 we use a o ring that is ford diameter inside and GM outside.. They work fine.. But your biggest problem is the way it fits in the manifold. Its too low causing the injector to not go up in the rail far enough for us to be comfortable.. It could cause a fire very easily if the fuel pressure spikes up and they start to leak.. Don't take any chances.. Send them to me I will set them up for the TPI for 25 bucks including all new viton rings and the ring to make the seat higher. I will send them back same day as I get them.

I appreciate the generous offer.....while I was responding the the OP, mine are 36# design III, that to my understanding are gm type. They were cut (as you can see) for the stock type fuel rail retaining clips. However I posted 2 pics for your critique:

Mine should be fine. I have a bigmouth intake and I did not use the fuel rail spacers. They go in pretty good.

So the orings from GM don't work(i got the blue thick ones)?

the ID is a tiny bit to big. They will seal as long as they are flat, so when putting them in use Vaseline , just try not to have them umbrella in the rail. I am not recommending that you use them, You are really taking a chance with those, they could leak at any time.. Fires really suck. Do it with the right parts.
