Default Fuel pressure

I have an adjustable fuel regulator and 30lb injectors on a stock tune and a 383

Someone please tell me what to set my Fuel pressure to so Im not running so rich.
Im completely lost and am tired of smelling so much gas on startup.

I will get a different chip when I order my exhaust/intake/255LPH fuel pump/CAI/Cam
but that wont be til mid to late July/early august
HELP

typically I set the FP @43.5, first you will need to know were yours is set at. You can try lowering to around 42 but the best resolve is to scan/log the car and get the tune done. The stock tune will have the inj.setting for a smaller inj. (22 or what ever stock was) which means that using a 30 would be very rich (inj. setting in the prom needs to be around 29.6).

Mine are set at 48lbs. Running rich but a tune should cure that.

You might want to look at the ECM/PCM section?

I have and adjustable from TPiS. The best you can do without a proper tune is to back the pressure off a couple psi at a time until the smell of gas is gone. I have a slightly modified 350 with 24# injectors and I'm running at 47 psi with the vacuum line disconnected from the regulator.

You really need a new tune that has the correct injector constant. But, reducing the fuel pressure will help a little.

Some places do free or low cost re-tunes. Maybe go that route. Have it tuned now and then later after more mods, head in again.

If you smell gas, I would check for a leaky injector. You shouldn't smell gas anytime.
Also check for a bad fuel pressure diaphragm leaking into your vacuum hoses to the manifold.
Also, under the car, under the driver's seat there is a short 3 inch vacuum hose that connects your vapor return line to the tank. I always smelled fuel until I crawled under there and changed the vacuum hose on the hard line on the vapor system.

I am getting a chip made
but that will be in august when i get my cam and other goodies

I will try backing it down. and looking for the vapor line.
Any pics of the vapor line?

I believe mine is set at 42 or 43 right now
