gear lube
I am about to change the rear end lube in my wifes 1985. If I use synthetic, should it be 75-90--or 75-140? Also, should the limited slip additive be added to the syn. The car is only used occasionally and no hard usage.

I would think it should be the same weight whether it is synthetic or not. I believe GM calls for 80-w90 (people use 75w-90 because 80-w90 isn't very common apparently). What does your '85s manual say you should use?
