Edlebrock heads
Are these heads pretty good, do they offer better performance then stock l98 aluminum heads. I know they are cheaper then buying the zz4 heads which are the same as stock l98 aluminum heads.

There are numerous well-known brands for heads to choose from:
- Edelbrock will offer the basic style heads with generally the same flow pattern as stock with slightly bigger CC and runners.
- Dart makes excellent heads in both CI and aluminum, and they have a great selection for what you'd be looking for a good price.
- Brodix has, IMHO, one of the best selections of heads you can choose from, and they will also mill the CC to any size you desire for a little extra. Some are more costly, but all of them will carry their weight. And then there's..
- AFR.. one of the most controversial companies on the forums. I won't get into exact details on that, but they boast THE best flow rates for their size runners, and some great low-RPM numbers for the range of cams they've run in their testing.
There are other brands that make heads as well, like Patriot, Summit, etc, but these are some of the more popular, and reliable, brands to choose from. If I was you, I would sit down and decide where this build is going, and choose the exact head that will support your target numbers.

I've been happy with the Edelbrocks and have added 2-10th's to my et. currently 13.65 They'll work will with my long range goal of building torque and thrashing Mustangs. If youre looking for high RPM's the Edelbrock head is probably not for you.
