Cloyes timing set clearance
Do the 9-1145 and 9-3145 timing sets fit under the stock L98 timing cover? Since the description says may not fit, I want to ask. And, I don't see replacement (deeper) covers anywhere).
FYI, the two chains listed above are dbl roller chains.

Yes they fit fine under the stock timing covers, but sometimes

Thanks Dane! Sorry I didn't notice your OP a couple of weeks ago!
Special thanks for the GMPP timing set link...maybe I'll do that instead.
BTW: After looking at your pics, I kinda wondered why the bolts for the cam retainer plate weren't a problem as well. Looks like they're REALLY close to the same distance from the center point of the cam (as the point you ground off).
