It looks like search function is down and I remember that there
was a thread with potential disasters with Melling M55 oil
pumps.
What oil pump should I get for performance rebuild 350?

I just put in a Melling 155hv from canton racing. It's their flow balanced unit. With 50 wt. oil I have 60 psi at idle, and the pump peaks at 70 psi at about 1500 rpm. I'm very happy with the results so far.

I went through most of this and it makes me 
I'd like to stay with std volume and std pressure pump, so it
looks like M-select #10553 is the right pump to go with, but
it's still not clear to me what kind of pickup should I use.
I'll probably go with Canton 15-240T oil pan, and they have
only next pickups listed:
20-044 Pickup for SM. BL. S.V. Pumps
20-049 Pickup for SM. BL. S.V. M155 3/4" dia
20-074 Pickup for SM. BL. H.V. Pumps
20-079 3/4" Pickup for Melling #M155HV
