I can't find any reproduction valve cover paint for a 92. Anyone know where I can get it? MADD and Ecklers has it up to 91...but that's it. Anybody know if 91 and 92 are the same.
Yes actually, I have thought of powder coat...but would like to match to original color...and don't know what that looks like. These covers are now 10 years old...and show it. Plus, it's pretty expensive isn't it?
I have a 92, and used the paint from MAD... It looks good to me... I never really thought it was different.... but I didn't really notice the year label until just now!!! If your worried, mine look 10x better!!! I say go for it... I used aircraft remover to strip off the old paint... you can get the aircraft at wal-mart if you are not familar...its in the auto section.... Good luck...
I also have a '92 and used the stuff from MAD. I didn't notice a year either, but it was a near-perfect match. It was that "Performance Choice" brand if I recall. It's too cold to go the garage to check! When it gets down to 40 degrees at the beach, we all go into hibernation.

You can have them bead blasted and powder coated for under $100 dollars here.
When LCC had the display in the custom car show a few weeks back, the guy from "StripMasters" (Commercial Services Co.) had a booth there.
I've wanted to get the top-end done for some time, and had him come over and give me an estimate there. I haven't taken the top-end off yet, but am planning on doing it in the next few weeks.
They are located off Howard Lane. The number is 251-7714.
