fuel pressure check
I have C4 LT1. Fuel pressure is 42lbs, after pump stops. Pressure holds untill ignition is turned off, then drops to Zero quickly. I've been told it should hold that pressure with little drop for some time after ignition is turned off. Is this true? Also what is electrically holding the pressure while ignition is on. I have a stubburn starting problem and trying to determind if it is fuel related. If I have a leaking injector or regulator wouldn't it start droping as soon as the pump stops? Thanks in advance for any advise.

You might have a injector sticking open or it could be a fuel pump return problem. Should slowly lose pressure over a few hours, not as soon as car is shut off. I think you can check fuel pump by using vise grips and pinching off return line to the tank use a couple small pieces of thin wood so you don't damage the line. There is a sticky from FIC top of tech section that I think tells how to test for a leaky injector.
