91 vette wheel question
I can get a decent deal on a set of wheels for the vette, car is a 91..
The wheels the gentleman has are 17X9.5 fronts and 17X11 rears.
so the first question is will these fit the 91 {car has 9.5's all the way around}?
next -what size rear rubber do you use with the 11" wide rim, he has fronts mounted but the rears have no rubber, so what size rear tire will fit?
Thanks in advance...
The 11" wheel needs to be mounted with 315/35R17 tires to match what's likely mounted on the 9.5's. My guess is the 9.5's have 275/40R17's.
There aren't many 315's still available and maybe you couldn't match the "brand" that's on the 9.5's. I would want "a match" were it me.
It's pretty difficult to offer advice with the "little" information you've posted. How much are the wheels? What brand? Most importantly though is: Do you like the wheels???
Back-spacing on an 11" -50mm wheel is something just short of 8". Depending on brand and the width of the flanges you should have maybe 7 13/16 or 7 7/8 maybe even something that pushes a full 8"!

GSXR front end is worth $800- {he would pay me cash}
Labor to install it- $150- {takes a couple hours, hes suppling the beers}
Hayabusa front end is worth- $600+ {low Ebay resale after fees}
So the price is around $350 if I figure it that way...
I like the wheels, I would like to have some more tire in the rear since it breaks free so easily with 500+ft lbs of torque...
