hi guys ,just put new tires on the back of my 86 and noticed that the top of the tire leans in .id say about an inch.very slight wobble maybe 1/16th in wheel bearing.also see the tire is wearing on the inside.is the rearend out of alignment?would that small amount of play in the wheelbearing do this?please help,trying to get everything ready for the track next week. thanks

If you just had them put on and can already see wear something is wrong. Get it checked out.
I would have the alignment checked much cheaper then new tires. If the bearing are bad it should show up under load when they get it on rack
The rears are supposed to have some negative camber. Sounds like you may have too much, expecially if the inside of the tire is wearing. Buy a camber gauge or have the alignment checked. The rear wheel bearing do have a few thousanths normal play when the tire is grabbed at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions. A 1/6th of an inch at the outside of the tire is not much. I'm not sure how you would check the bearings under load on a rack.
I was not sure if that could be done or not, there must be some way other then manualy trying to feel for play in the bearing. i will have to look that up. But he needs to have it looked at for tire wear.
