I thought someone had listed a lot of them on this Forum in the "OTHER" "TECH TIPS" section. However, when I tried to find them for you, I couldn't access Tech Tips, so it must be malfunctioning.
Someone may post what you need, but if not, you can try using GOOGLE as your search engine. Type in something like "1995 Corvette OBD I Codes" and see if you can find a link there.
Hi Jake,
Yeah I did some research on Google but it was taking me all over the place. I got a link but some of the codes I have are not showing up in the lists that I've seen. Also what does the letter mean? Example: H51

I believe the "H" stands for HISTORY, which I think means an error code that was stored sometime in the past.
There's a way to clear all the codes that are stored in the PCM's memory. When I had one a couple of years back, I took the car to AutoZone and they read it with their scanner and cleared the code for me, for free.
Then after the codes are cleared you can check to see if they come back. If they don't you should be good to go.
I somehow lost my Factory Service Manual with all the engine information in it - Yea, I know, I'm an IDIOT, LOL - otherwise I'd post them for you. I still have Book #1, but it doesn't have engine and trans info in it.
Codes can be cleared by simply removing the negative terminal on the battery for at least 10 minutes.
I always thought the letters referred to the different systems...ecm, trans, anti-lock brakes, etc. Not too sure but this link goes into some details about it:
Well, just to try to help, I took a look in my Book #1 FSM. In the ABS/TCS Section, Section 5, for the 1996 it shows DTC 61 as BPMV PUMP MOTOR MALFUCTION and DTC 62 as RPM SIGNAL MALFUNCTION.
Both of those have to do with the ABS, indicating a malfuction was detected. Is your ABS working?
BPMV stands for Brake Pressure Modulator Valve. I can't say for sure if this translates to your 1995 though. You know how GM JUST LOVES TO CHANGE THINGS!

So it seems he needs to know which MODULE he's in. I haven't had a code in years, so I can't be of more help with this. I hope someone who knows more about it than I do will post to help you out.
Hey - I just got a reply from Epimax on a thread I had started over in Scan/Tune (Thanks again!) and he uses an online FSM you guys may be interesrested in as well:
Thanks everyone, I cleared out the history and the codes changed a little.
To answer some of your questions, no I don't think ABS is working. I'm not necessarily concerned about the ABS or A/C problems right now. I want the car to run. If I have to fix those issues to get the car running then I will.
I have a manual coming in sometime this week maybe that will help me...
I have to tell you guys, I will never buy a C4 again... Once this car is running, I'm going out to buy a newer vette or one with chrome bumpers and a carb...

Try clearing your codes then see if any of them come back. I suspect that only the ABS codes will return.
If that's the case and 61 and 62 come back, that tells you they're caused by an ABS problem.
I know your frustration. Many of us have gone through this at one time or another. Learning the in's and out's of these fuel injected injected engines calls for a, sometimes, steep learning curve because they're so different from carbed engines. Getting the bugs out can be challenging at first.
Fortunately, many of the members here can help you solve almost every problem that may arise. How? 'Cause we've been there!
I missed the first part of your last response. So, okay, you cleared the codes but some came back. Which one?
If they're ABS codes, those won't keep your engine from running. The ABS has a back-up procedure where, if it somehow fails to work properly, your brakes still will fine. You just won't have the ABS capability.
I will re-check the codes tomorrow. I've packed it up for the night...
Thanks for getting back to me.
