My car is a 95 and I just bought new rims with tires. The rims are 17 x 9.5 with Kumho 712 ECSTA Supra tires 275/40 ZR-17’s. This is the widest size these Kumho's come in. My questions are
1: Will 315/35 tires fit right on 9.5?
2: Would it be worth going to Pilot's to go to a larger size?
I have pilot's on the car now but stock sizes. So what I need to know is should I sell the Kumho's while they are new and get pilot's?
1. No, you need 17x11
2. Yes the pilots overall kick tail over any tires I have run into yet.
3. Bonus question: yes I have this setup with 275 front as they have the same outer diameter as the 315s and the improvement in handling etc. more than justifyed the money. Highly recommend the upgrade.
