Seat Covers
Has anyone out there redone the leather on their seats. I would like to upgrade the quality of the leather to connelly and was wondering what type of money this would run?. I am going to keep it ruby leather but just a better quality

lots.
figure the junk leather costs about 800.00 for the seat covers... expect 1500 JUST for the leather... that connelly stuff is expensive.
It might even be more expensive than that...

I can give you a tip...
I'm getting mine re-done by a master in Canada...with the exchange rate, I'm saving big huge bucks! Since it's winter, it's perfect time to get them done...I just ripped out the seat and sent them up...they'll be done in a few weeks!
Total custom job, so they will look like the red/black Z06 seats...I can't wait!

if you don't mind me asking , what range of price are you talking about.
did you send the whole seat or just the cushions etc?

As for price, I am paying less for custom sewn/designed seats then what Ecklers charges for the most expensive leather/foam combo they sell for a '96.
My upholstry guy is also an award winning guy...a little hole in the wall shop in the middle of nowhere...but the cars I have seen, and pictures of his work is amazing!
You know I'll be posting the finished product when he is done! :D
