compared to what? change converters? torque converter? i ran a hot cam in a lt1 trans am with a 2200 stall. lots of people have no issue with a hot cam and stock stall. but there are way better cams out than that dinosaur.

Default ProZac

Mr. ProZac. Take a moment & read what I have done. I live at 5800 FT above sea level. I turn left out of my driveway and in 65 miles I'm at 11,000 ft above sea level. I turn right & drive 65 miles I'm at 5400 ft.above sea level. How far do you drive one way everyday? a 2200 stall & a hot cam where I live! Door stop till about 2500 RPMs in a 383 and 195 cc runners. You would be shocked at how much lowend i'm missing with a ZZ4 cam in a 383! Look at the spreed on the exhaust duration @ .050. You live at 200 Ft. above sea level. On street tires where you live I would have a real problem. Yeah here I leave about 5 ft of rubber. Your car here? better bring a 5.13 gear and a bottle of O2& be ready to beat on you ride for 15 minutes straight to haul the mail up a grade. Two different worlds. I have lived in both. A Mile above sea level & up is a very humbling adventure. There is less than 100K people for four counties & coolest roads ever. Some will kill you! (1000 ft down & no rail)

Carry on smartly

Given the 6,000ft altitude, you really should look at adding some boost.
