Default Removing vanity mirror on 85

I am going to recover the visors on my 85 and am trying to remove the lighted vanity mirror on the pass. side. I don't see any visable screws and am afraid to pry it and break it. What is the trick? Thanks, Guy

I have mine apart right now, I am getting new glass cut for them and recovering them.

They are held together by two rubber '****' that push through the visor former cardboard. They just pry out. Be gentle when you pull them out.

Thanks, that worked great. I did not want to pull too hard because I was afraid to break it. Since you are doing the same thing, do you have any idea where I can get those little bulbs and also I am missing the left side bulb cover. Thanks again, Guy

I have recovered over 100 pairs of these visors. I have the bulbs and spare parts if you need any. Let me know.

Good luck on the recover!-C.J.

Thanks CJ, my wife did a nice job of recovering these and once I get around to hooking it back up I will see if the bulbs work. I do know I need a cover for the bulb on the left side of the passenger visor. Do you have one? Do you have any of the washers that snap on and go over the spring and washer to hold the visors on? I don't know if I will be able to re-use the old ones. Thanks, Guy
