Dana 44 Question

92 LT1 with a dana 36 Do you need to change just the pumpkin to go to a dana 44 or do you need the half shafts and anything else?

To do a D44 dswap you need the pumpkin complete , a D44 driveshaft and a D44 C beam
All the other rear end parts interchange

The D36 DS and beam can be modified (cut down ) to suit

You need a D44 differential *complete with the cover. You'll need either a D44 drive-shaft or have yours shortened nearly 1" and you'll also need either a D44 C-beam or drill yours to accomodate the dimensions required for the D-44 install.

The balance of the rear suspension/drive remain the same. Your half-shafts will be fine.
