hey guys i am working on a 93 40 anniversary edition with the over head valves what are the must have mods to make the car run much better and just make it more enjoyable to drive without killing the bank?
You got me with the overhead valves part, do you mean the LT5 w/overhead cams?
Never heard of an engine without overhead valves, in a car.
for a LT1 w/auto 2.59 gears:
Headers - $600-1300
Cam - $250-600
Hi flow cats - $200
2300-2400 stall converter w/lockup - $300-400
Heads ported and intake ported to match - call your local porter
I have headers, cats, 2400 converter and mild cam w/2.59 gears and mine can get going in a hurry and can ****** 2nd.
But it all comes down to what you want the car to do, there are a million different setups. First figure out what you want from the car, then look for mods.
Forgot gears, you will need someone else to help you w/those.
Define power ?, there is quickness(torque) and topend(HP), 2 different beasts.

Not trying to pick on you, but to help you, you have to help us.
The car is very agile, need to learn how to handle it properly.
both quicker acceleration he won't be going over 200 kph too often so top end speed isn't the biggest requirement he wants it to sound nice corner at high speeds i suggested a corsa cat back but what make headers? or cold air intake?
quickness = gears and torque converter, if automatic.
Gives us all the details on the car and PUNCTUATE.
Is it an auto or 6sp, what gears are in rearend?
