Default Going to the dyno shop...

Getting my vette dynoed on Monday for the first time. With what I have done in my sig, and with everything working properly. Any ideas where I might be at HP and torque wise? I am hoping to be atleast at 245 HP and 340 torque.

I'd like to dyno my new setup also. Where is the dyno you are going to? I haven't really looked for one. How much they charging you and for how long?

The name of the place is actually called "The Dyno Shop," I guess the owners aren't very creative. :jester They are charging $69, or you can rent per hour for $225. The place is located in San Diego county. When I asked if they have a lot of vettes coming in there they said yes, and there is actually a club having a dyno day there next week. That made me more comfortable about going there.

$225 per hour isn't too bad. I'm sure you could do quite a few pulls in an hour.

$225 an hour is nuts! My buddy dyno-tuned his truck to the price of $80 an hour.

As for hp, my guess is 221 hp 307 tq.

Have fun. :)

With those mods you will most likely see close to those numbers at the fly.

I could have sworn that the early L-98's have 230hp and 333 torque stock. Do they mean at the flywheel? Or do they mean at the wheel?

At the fly; expect a 15%-18% dt loss.

I always thought that it was at the wheel, thanks for setting me straight.

You're kidding!! $80 an hour ?!?!  They did my 3 pulls in 15 minutes or so at Speed Works.... since that was $60, I figured that's 12 pulls total and $60 * 4 is $240, which is a little bit of a discount off of the already pretty good price of $60 hhmmm... wish I could find a place that only charged $80 an hour!

:yesnod: :yesnod: Around here it's $100 an hour, which is still a little pricey if you don't have anything to tune with. If you can tune it's a good deal.
