Default Gas Pedal Question

Is there a difference between the 90-96 version and the 84-89 version. Mine broke(the pivot) exiting turn 11 at Thunderhill raceway; promptly got stuck at wide open throttle going down the staightaway.

i'm no expert, but that is a really bad thing! isn't the throttle body supposed to snap shut because of the spring? or did something get jammed?

So the pivots are physically different and not interchangeable, correct?

It jammed under the brake pedal, I turned the ignition off and coasted into the pits, the tach needle got jammed on the right hand side of the gauge, 500 RPMs beyond redline. I drove it home after my friend did a "Mcgiver" fix on it, it seemed ok despite the overrev.

I am confused, how did the throttle cable get caught up in the brake pedal??

Yes, ASR(like my 93 are different from the non-ASR), as my throttle cable goes to the ASR and then another one goes to the throttle body.

I bought RD RACING's gas pedal mount to keep things from braking. I dont see it on their site anymore, but if you email them they may have it. It was billet aluminum for the bracket that brakes, such as yours.

No idea, only reporting the results; once the pivot broke, the cable got hung up

Thanks, I will get a later version of the pedal mount specific to ASR..

Default I have one

Sound like that thing breaking was a bit of a scare! I always wondered what would happen if one broke on the track.

I have an extra plastic one if can't find the R&D (aka Corvette Mike Billet replacement model). The one I have is out of a 1994. PM me if interested.
