Heat shield, Do I need it?
Mt Mechanic left it out, the bottom of the car is less cluttered( 89 ZF6)
He left out all the supporting bracket and bolts as well.
The car seems to operate fine, I was just wondering if this shield is just fluff and is not really needed,
If I do need it were does it goes?
Is it easier to install anexhaust system without it?

That bracket also holds the back end of the Y-pipe in place where the cat slips into it. The bracket at the front of the rear Y-pipe will probably not have enough strength to hold all of that up.
If you had true duals and no cats (no pre-cats and no main cat) it might work with that front hanger not being there.
