No tricks to it. Only thing that comes to mind is, I would try to get a GM hose. Aftermaket never seems to last as long. The original on my 87 lasted 17 years and I have an 89 Camaro that still has the original.
yes change all the hoses if they are over 20 years old. New ones don't last as long as the originals, but that just gives you the opportunity to learn more about your car.
sliding some armor all onto the inside of the hose makes it slip on easier.
change the lower hose, and check that the throttle body hoses are intact. the last thing you want is a faulty coolant system.
The only answer for a faulty cooling system is being towed home.
Expensive and SHAMEFUL.............

I need to replace mine, is there any thing I should know about doing it?
Thank you.
If your model is equipped with the oil cooler you may want to check the two hoses for that. They are on the underside of the motor near the oil filter. Mine are 22 yrs old and getting replaced with ALL the other coolant hoses this summer when I do my intake manifold gasket.
