Sent in all my information to PCMFORLESS.COM. Fully upgraded exaust, no emissions, cold air intake, BMAD, and a few other minor mods/upgrades. He said 10-20 hp gain. Maybe more. Im quite excited about it and no EGR code or vats!
Very nice....I miss my VATS like I would miss a wicked case of the crabs....
i actually worked around the VATS myself. i measured the resistance of the little chip in the key (which is only a resistor) and then tied the correct resistors together to get the same resistance in the key. then i just wired it into the harness that the ignition barrel is connected to and viola... i had to do this because the contacts in the barrel actually broke out and i didn't feel like replacing the entire barrel...
Cool, I just ordered mine from them last week. Seemed like a pretty exhaustive list of specs on the order sheet.
As with all the other parts I've bought the last serveral months, I won't know the final result for about another month. But I've read good things about PCM for less service after the sale, so I'm confident if I run into any challenges they'll help me out.
Hope your chip gets you the desired results. Have fun, and let us know!

My car will not start ever if the resistor piece I installed from ecklers in the harness. My vats is completly out. It took me two weeks and the damn thing would never crank over. I tried resetting it numerous times. Nope. I got the resistor in there and once that chips in, I am home free!!!
Everything but LT headers which I will get by the summertime. Ceramic coated of course. Cusianrt vette will port my base and plenum and aftermarket runners for me hopefully in the summer as well. Get the chip reflashed and I should have roughly 300 hp. For a L-98, I think that is quite good. I will stay with the L98 and make the most power out of it I possibly can.
