When I bought this 84, A/C was not working and engine compartment heater hoses circumvented the heater core with closed-loop hose connection. Consequently, I never had to use the control panel since nothing was really going to happen. Since then, I have essentially finished a restoration and corrected many, many things that the previous owner had goofed with! However, I now have the A/C and Heater working but blower air volume at the various vents just doesn't seem to be sufficient or correct. I suspect the control panel vac connections might have been hooked up wrong and/or vac cannister(s) may be bad?
At the control panel there is a vac connector with orange, pink, blue, tan, red and and black vac lines. I know the black line is engine vac and think the orange line goes to the passenger side vac cannister at the kickpanel. Before I take the dash pad off, can someone tell me which cannisters are connected by thier colored lines and which control panel vac connector they should be hooked to (position 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6). I think the #4 panel nipple is for the black (eng vac) line. Need to know the others. Make any sense?
