Default Ground Effects

Anyone out there ever install Greenwood type ground effects? I just bought these from a guy that makes them out of fiberglass. It looks as if they need to be trimmed here and there. I have removed front air dam and rockers from my car already and temp. installed one side. I am just wanting to find out if there is anything I should do, or can do, to make this go smoothly.
Thanks

Fit everything first, then paint and reinstall. Just take your time with it and fit all the lines nice. Mine went right on without any problem

Most fiberglass parts need ajustment of some type. Most repo fiberglass parts are not made with the same degree of quality as the corvette plant does. Where did you get the kit?

I bought them from a guy that claims he has been in the business for 30 years. Ironically he goes by "Fiberglass Mike". He has over 100 molds. I started by dry fitting the parts already and will paint them off the car as I am painting the car also. I did not relize how much weight there was to these.Ok, I just wanted to get some other input to make this as smooth as possible.
I appreciate the responses.

Do you mind me asking how much they were? I'm looking at side skirts for my race car, and fit and finish are far less important for me than for a street car so I don't mind if they're not perfect...

Hi, they are regularly 775. brand new, but I paid 600. for cash. The guy is out of Orlando so it was local for me. There is a guy on this sight that has a set for 475. , but then there is the shipping. He is listing them under c4 parts for sale.

Thanks for the info, John!

Once you get them on, if you have time would you post some pictures up of how they look? I'm sure I'm not the only one who is curious.

I'll check the set for sale...

I have had to replace several pieces on mine due to accidents. Best upgrade I have done on the ground effects was to add the Greenwood tunnel.

WOW! That looks great! That is the kit I just bought. I have already fitted the passenger side rocker and door. The rear is 5 pieces and should be interesting getting everything to line up.

I bought a Greenwood knock-off from C5 West.Biggest piece of s%#t I have ever seen that wasn't in a commode. Took weeks of cut/fill/glass/cuss before I got it on. Wouldn't have made it without Greenwoods help. They were nice enough to sell me an instillation kit. Fitting one is a major task at best because not all kits or the cars they are going on are the same. Each is unique. Take your time and do it right.
