Like this?

(yes..it's functional)

My '96 had this setup which worked well:

The key is to open a hole under the cones...

Your phone is ringing.

What are you calling him on? He never said anything bad. I happen to agree. My car came to me with the infamous airfoil mod! I was so glad I didn't buy it, though I wanted to when I got my first Ecklers magazine.

The fact is, if a person makes a plan, saves his money and shops smart... you can have some great power! Every mod has been done under the sun. The ones that work are $$. Power costs money.

If a filter/ducting is good up to a certain HP then why change it if you are not making more power?

Forget working on that. Start with headers and intake. Heads and cam next. Or make a plan to build a stroker.

Yes that would work well too. The one I was refering to was just a regular high rise hood where the pressure would suck air in through the hood. L88 style

The OP was asking for advice not opinion.

Shimy 86’s question. “I was looking last night and wondering if anyone has fabricated a better way.”

Many members trying to help answer the question, gave their advice to the OP.

tarheelracer responded to this thread with his opinion. “Come on guys, lets hold off on the ghetto ricer mods.”

Calling someone’s work/advice that was trying to help “the ghetto ricer mods” is not very Christian like.

tarheelracer “Sorry if I came off the wrong way.”

tarheelracer apologized and I respect him for that as I am sure the others do.
