There is nothing wrong with the stock air intake, its the TPI intake manifold that is the restriction and if you've got a LT1 then you've got nothing to worry about. You want better air flow to the intake? Get a high rise hood and a carb.

What are you calling him on? He never said anything bad. I happen to agree. My car came to me with the infamous airfoil mod! I was so glad I didn't buy it, though I wanted to when I got my first Ecklers magazine.
The fact is, if a person makes a plan, saves his money and shops smart... you can have some great power! Every mod has been done under the sun. The ones that work are $$. Power costs money.
If a filter/ducting is good up to a certain HP then why change it if you are not making more power?
Forget working on that. Start with headers and intake. Heads and cam next. Or make a plan to build a stroker.
Yes that would work well too. The one I was refering to was just a regular high rise hood where the pressure would suck air in through the hood. L88 style
