Jon (and others),
I went back and looked closer at the video tags in Jon's FAQ thread. I just realized the addresses are delimited by the letters "YT" (in brackets) vs "URL" (in brackets). That means the address to the videos is NOT a URL. So, no wonder a URL is not being presented.
So, I did a search for a YT tag. It appears that this is a tag for MySpace video's? So, I suspect you can not view Jon's video's if you are not a member of MySpace (and that the goobly-gook inside the tags is a MySpace ID for the video). I would have thought PhotoBucket or even this website would be a better place to the host the videos. Oh well....guess you have to be hip or be square.

For me.... MySpace is right here on the couch!

Ahhhh... YT = YouTube. Makes perfect sense! Why don't I see a YouTube tool at the top of the post/reply window. (Besides formatting tools, you can insert a link, image, quote, etc... no YouTube.) There are others who've posted youtube links who post the entire URL -- which works fine for me.
I'm still running XP with IE 6. It's an authorized copy. YT tags must be an updated part of HTML included in newer browsers.

Greg maybe the computer needs you to go to Microsoft updates and see if all your patches are downloaded.. Then go to your video player and update it I am sure its a free download. Could your pop up blocker be set to too high of security? Maybe this is too much techno-babble what do you think? Get it fixed because I am doing a whole bunch of new videos comparing lucas style against bosch 3 and Bosch 4.. I am not sure how the 4 will work in the L98.. I might have you test them for us.. But if they work you have to buy them.. They are only available in New injectors and are a little pricy but I will give you a deal

If "YT" tags are supposed to work for everyone, my guess is the problem has to do with my settings/updates/patches for my browser. Still, I'd suggest posting URL's vs YT's to avoid issues from other viewers. I believe that's more foolproof. Since posting a link is a clear option for posting replies -- while posting YT's is not clearly shown as an option. I would categorize URL's as more universal. (Pun intended.)
The alternative would be to search for keywords within YouTube in order to find videos you post. I don't have any problem playing videos from their site. (Or I can copy the prefix of a YouTube URL and overright the video id with the one in your links. I assume that's what's stored inside the YT tags.)
We can talk more about the des 2's vs 3's vs 4's offline. It sounds like you're unsure of the des 4's operation in the L98 platform? Is it purely an operational issue or concern about interference with the adapters?

I sold a few sets of D4's to customers off our website.. They all disappeared. I put a set in my boat and they work great.. All the new vettes have them as do the New Fords, audi's, porsche etc. I would like to have some c4 tests. The difference in the price is almost double over the rebuilt Bosch 3 that we sell. I will get the videos out next week. I will do the Bosch 3 22, 24, 30 and the Bosch 4 24.. Also to my knowledge there is no new car or marine manufacturer using a Lucas type, made by standard motor products injector. I wonder why?
O.K., you got me on this one. How can you "add" to injectors?
Duty cycle going up to 100% is what I'd call the limit. Then, you have to raise the pressure.
are you refering to me? if so i didn't say it added to the injectors. obd2 shows stft and ltft as perecnt of added fuel to correct the improper ratio... so it increases/decreases the duty cycle to a certain amount and shows it as a percent. my scan tool showed 30% on my first test drive. the tune had them at a decent duty cycle to begin with.

Thanks Prozac. If I understand your reply correctly.... An injector is running at a percent of it's max DC at any given time. You're saying the ECM adds/subtracts from the opening time (percent) and displays it as a percentage change.
the scan tool is showing a percentage of how much fuel the pcm is adding or subtracting from its tune called short term fuel trim and long term fuel trim. this is on obd2. similar to BLM's on obd1. its the same correction that all pcms do to make the car run correctly with changing conditions.

FWIW, after seeing his vid's, I hesitated to use the original style lucas injectors I'd purchased last spring. (That concern didn't even include running at a higher 50psi.) After deciding to go for more serious HP, they became too small to consider. I'm choosing a bigger Bosch.
After finding and viewing Jon's YouTube videos again, I need to correct my post above. Multecs were the injectors that shut down under higher pressures. I did not see Bosch Des2's included with that problem. I just saw Lucas style as having the narrowest, most pencil-shaped stream of all injectors Jon tested.
To the OP, the worst I can see happening from a narrower injector stream is slightly worse mpg and unburnt emissions.
So a basic description of your engine
Approx HP output: 275 HP Superram L98 with 1.6 RRs.
What peak RPM you a running up to: 5500
What injectors: 24 lb
Brand: Trickflow
LB rating (at what PSI is this rating made?) not sure
What PSI are you running them at: 44 psi
The Trickflows required a custom tune but are working very well.
