I'm getting a quad driver fault which is supposed to indicate a faulty relay or part somewhere...canister purge solenoid, egr solenoid, AIR relay, and something else...can't remember.
I checked out the relays with an ohm meter and they all seem to check out, so I'm gonna replace the EGR valve & solenoid...it's just a hunch, but I think that's where the problem is. Another time last summer, the EGR system showed a fault, so maybe they're related.
Any thoughts or suggestions? Can I just remove and CLEAN the EGR valve, or should I replace it?
A little more information. It sometimes sets the code Immediately upon start up...other times it will not set the code for 15-20 minutes. I think "Hey, it corrected itself" and blink...on it comes "Check Engine Soon". I have rebooted the ECM (+ lead off battery for 10 minutes). But it will reset.
Like I said, checked ohms on the relays, can't find anything wrong...but something definitely is...and all fuses are okay.
