Default Multi use relays from Mid America

After many a long hour building cleaning and installing an L98 I had found many a problem which with enough time trouble shooted away with one exception.
Now you may find this humorous but here goes.
(I purchased several of the multi use relays from Mid America @ 603980 units marked 912210 on each relay.)
I seemed to continue my problem searching for problem ECMs to trouble codes to finaly breaking out the multi-meter and checking the harness.
Last thing and I mean the very last thing to check were the brand new relays such as the MAF On/burn/fuel pump relays etc....That style is used all over the 89.
No less than 3 of the brand new relays are normaly closed between A and E where the circuit requires a normally open switch.(One problem was the fuel pump never seemed to shut off.)
Just goes to show ya that some time its better to buy OEM bits and spend the dollars for what now works flawless.
Any others buy these??? You may wish to check your circuit relays.

Thank you for posting this info. Im sure I have replaced my autozones more than nessary. I think autozones is made in India.

Been there! Had a bad MAF from Autozone and another one from O'Reilly. Also a bad relay from Autozone. I guess some things you should just go back to the dealer to get OEM. Cost me a boat load to figure it all out.

The new GM relays have made in mexico stamped all over them.
they also have an inner box which is stamped made in mexico.
and just slipped inside an outer AC-Delco box.

nothing even similar to the original 1989 relays.
