My '90 has a slight miss at idle only. When I accelerate the miss is gone. I am going to do plugs and wires first. What wires should I go for & how much $? Also what about the cap, rotor etc..? Any hi-perf parts better than oem? Any Ideas if i am chasing the problem in the right direction? Thanks. :chevy
check to see if you have a vacuum leak or a clogged PCV valve. Take the PCV valve out and shake it. If you hear a rattle, it is fine. If you don't, it means it is clogged and that may be your culprit.
I agree. If its been a while since the last tune up, go with that. That will either cure the problem or narrow it down to something else, but take it one step at a time. A tune up never hurts.
