Default how to change distributor

hi guys I have the water pump off and need to take off the distributor on my 95 corvette LT 1 do i have to take the balancer off as well and if so ? it has three bolts but it will not come off do i need a puller?

Soak it with PB Blaster, get under the car and tap/knock it forward.

its two piece hub and ring.you should be able to pull dist by just taking the ring off.make sure you get it back on the same way you take it off.look for arrow cast in either the hub or ring.

thanks the ring is on tight cant lift the car at this time so i have to make a tool to knock it off from the top after i set the # 1 piston at top dead center,and im going with the M S D dis that sounds like the best one

No need to mark the balancer's hub or bring the engine to TDC. If installed correctly the opti and balancer only go back on one way.
