Default Starting problem when semi warm?

hey guys. My 88 has trouble starting after it has been driven, and sits anywhere from 40 minutes to about 5 hours. It starts perfectly after sitting over night, or if it has been driven within the past 30 minutes. Any ideas? I was told that the car has "always" done that, but it bothers me and i would like to find a solution.

Sounds like starter heat soak.
Mine does the same thing. I just have to leave it sit until the temp drops back down below 110 and it will start again. Not good if you have to make a lot of stops in one trip.

Are you saying it's not cranking or firing up after sitting ?

leaking injectors -

try flooring the gas pedal before you turn the key on, and see if that helps. sounds like your injectors are flooding the engine as the fuel pressure leaks down, and verify by checking the fuel pressure leakdown after stopping the engine. i went thru the same thing on my 85 - only way to solve this is a new set of injectors. check with Jon at FIC. hope this helps...

It starts, but it takes about a good 4 maybe 5 seconds of cranking. Could this be a serious enough problem to have to replace my injectors?
