Coil over discussion
Since I am not sure i want to modify my engine for more power due to my going off to college i have to find another way to spend large amounts of money on my car. There hasnt been a coilover discussion in a while and i have some new questions anyway.
What racing class is my car in if it has coil overs? I want to autocross this season but if i start out in a class with advanced drivers in modified cars i will come in last every time. I am a decent driver but lack experience. Would any of you 6spd autocrossers take a passenger for a couple of rides so i can get the hang of autoxing with a manual. I have only had the manual for a couple of months so i am still pretty new at it.
The roads where i live suck and i figure coil overs will help me have a safer ride at higher speeds. Curves and dips and blind turns all over the place. Not that i street race but the average ricer could beat me on the local roads due to the cushy nature of their suspensions.

from what I understand, the coil over kit, when set up accordingly, will eliminate some of the giggle from the cars ride.
as for handling, again, from what I understand, it will improve things.
however, SCCA will toss you into race prepared or some other class that you would not be competitive in.
