Default convertible top install question

I am getting ready to replace my top on my 90 convertible. I looked at the Corvette Central article, and it kind of looks like they did it with the top on. I thought I was going to have to take it off. Can it be left on?
Thanks

Default Top

Take your time and unglue the front and back. The framework stays put. There are ribs that go across that need to be put in the new top. Cover your interior with sturdy drop cloths. The frame work needs to have ALL the glue off. Use L.T. or acetone to get glue off. When installing, do the back first. Then glue the front. The back you need to stretch tight, and centered. I use black weatherstrip adheisive. Its easy to pull fabric away and re center. After its done, I let it sit overnight before clamping down the front and back to give time for the glue to dry,

Good luck

Thanks for the tips, do you use the weatherstrip adhesive for everything? I have seen some people say to use 3M adhesive. Also, where does the foam recommended go?
